About the exhibition Fashion Redefined: Miyake, Kawakubo, Yamamoto

In the 1970s and 1980s, a group of Japanese fashion designers emerged on the Paris couture scene and radically transformed the traditional European fashion ideals by effectively infusing Japanese aesthetic into global fashion, forever changing the way modern women dress. Fashion Redefined will showcase about 60 garments by the legendary Japanese designers Issey Miyake, Rei Kawakubo, Junya Watanabe for Comme des Garçons, and Yohji Yamamoto. Support for this exhibition is provided by Dr. Howard and Mrs. Anita Harris.
